Tutorial

During class Mr Fauzi introduced us to Adobe After Effects, where how we create, rename, separating layers in Photoshop and import the psd into after effects
He also showed us on what are the available transitions like opacity, scale, position, etc.

Practical
In starting with Project 2B, Mr Fauzi taught us on imaging and photo shooting techniques, to allow us to have more understanding, we proceed to photobooth room
The item I selected as photo material is fire extinguisher and sardin can as they have the same color and cylindrical shape.

Idea in mind:
Process of photo shooting:
This is the setting I used to take the pictures, where I also brought my DSLR to practice with
I learnt that lighting is equally important, and it should be consistent throughout every take, hence the direction I choose is from the left side
Below are the few takes

To ensure I have enough material I took advice from Mr. Fauzi to take from multiple angles so that I can have extra idea and approach to come up with my final work
Reflection
In this particular week I learnt about a lot things including surrealism, after effects and most importantly photo shooting with proper set up! During the sessions, I understand that product shooting is more than just taking pictures. It involves how much lighting you want to include, the direction of lighting, how large scale you want the object to occupy the whole picture. It is indeed a fun and satisfying process to come up with the object I want to combine and start everything from scratch. I anticipate the following process where I import the pictures to manipulate in photoshop. I did have certain idea of outcome but afraid that my execution skills could not keep up with it😂
