💡Week 3💡

Lecture

• Mr fauzi taught us how to use photoshops and the basics of it
• the topics covered include: lasso tool to select and make separate layer
• Lasso Tool
• allow us to draw and pin point specific area in photo
• Types of lasso tool include: Lasso, Polygonal Lasso, Magnetic Lasso
• Pen tool
• Creating path from scratch
• fewer points smoother path
• 
• Layering
• different images stacked on top of each other
• advantage of Photoshop

Task Assigned

• from this week we are going to download given images and compose it into digital collage, also have to take into consideration the rule of thirds and golden ratio

Progress

• by starting I browsed Pinterest to get inspiration according to the color theme, structure, visual representation
• before starting anything I decided to utilize the rule of third grid provided in the download package because I think it will really help me come out with better composition
• got inspiration from the board, trying to build the similar structure, the obstacle is that in my opinion the element provided lacks of diverse element
  
  
• i also figure out how to use lasso tool to create the "Ray effect

• i prepared a compilation of cut out elements that allows me easier select and paste into my collage

• attempt on making the design expressing the elements falling out from the ray

• next step i intended to crop out the parts from typewriter that sticks out from the ray, i tried magic tool but it somehow didnt achieve the result i wanted, hence I have to use curvature pentool for higher accuracy

# 1 design

I started with the guy walking out the door, expanding from the central point is the ray effect with the train

# 2 design

based on inspiration I get from Pinterest, the idea is items "falling" out from the video camera

# 3 design

The focal point is the train, I was trying to give a spacious visual effect where the train expands from far to close

Reflection

• Coming out with 3 photoshop designs within the first week given that I have zero prior experience is very challenging luckily I did background research and after a few tutorial videos I manage to catch up and come out with the design I imagined

• at the end I was enjoying the designing after I am familiar with lasso and pen tool, it's just cutting out elements and composing them under a structure
