- Why photoshop is important for a Graphic Designer
- express your creativity
- create graphic design
- restore old images
- integrate graphics with text artistically
- make use of brushes
- change photo color
- rectify mistakes in photographs
- I have also learnt the concept of digital imaging and tips of successful graphic designer
Task Assigned
- the task assigned is only to create e-portfolio blog, browse through Pinterest and pick the top interesting design
- also Mr. Fauzi informed that we have to start collecting unwanted magazines to prepare for next class
- due - sept 11
Progress
- Creation of e protfolio, I did some online research to understand how blogger works and watch Youtube tutorials to understand creating "label"
- The key word I searched for includes "graphic designs inspiration" "aesthetic designs"...
Designs recommended by Pinterest - The three designs intriguing me:
- Simple and neat, the composition is structured and the way the letter and postcards are arranged are eye pleasing. The overall color tone is brown and gives off a nostalgic feel.
- This design caught my initial attention because of its simplicity but at the same time depicting an eventful night in seoul. I like how the author put sky scraping buildings at the back but also underneath there are bars and restaurants where people enjoy their life after working hard.
- The stronger first impression of this design is how elements are aligned making the design simplistic. It allows the viewer to focus on the pictures because the arrangement is compact but not pressuring.
Reflection
- In the first week I enjoyed immersing into different kinds of designs and writing my opinion on the design, I realized that there are no "standard answers" in art, which is different from what I usually learnt in my computer science major.
- but i was quite worried that I couldn't find enough magazine for next collage class.
